Pikachu is an all time favorite for Pokémon fans. Everyone gets to choose one out of three Pokémon to start with, namely, Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle. Actually there is a fourth option which is a Pikachu.
At the beginning of the game, you will have the option to select your outfit and name. Then Professor Willow will walk you through to select your first Pokémon from an option of three. If you ignore them by not selecting any of these three Pokémon and walk around, they will respawn at your new location. Continue doing this enough times, then a fourth option which is Pikachu will be available to you.
During our testing, the number of times you have to run away from Professor Willow varies. If you are lucky enough, you might get Pikachu during your third or fourth try. Sometimes, you have to run around quite a bit before the fourth option is available.
