Pokémon Go has a number of rare Pokémon, but some of them are harder to find than the others. Today, we will discuss on the elusive Porygon and how to catch one.
Where To Find Porygon
Since the latest nest migration, Porygon is showing a very specific spawn pattern. It was originally spotted in a Silph Road thread and it was observed that Porygon tend to spawn near courthouse, post office, and government buildings. A total of two days tracker data was collected to verify the theory which true enough confirms that Porygon does spawn significantly more near courthouses.
According to Pokemon Go Hub, the two days of data mining gathered 15 MB worth of data from 1,250,000 spawns. Out of those encounters, 378 were Porygon which translated to 0.03024% chance to encounter a Porygon. 291 of those Porygon encounters are within the vicinity of a courthouse. The distance measured is less than 1 KM (0.621371 Mile) from a courthouse.
There are also 53 Porygon spawns which is within 5 KM from a courthouse. The other 34 Porygon spawns are more than 5 KM from a courthouse. According to the results, Porygon did not spawn within the vicinity of government buildings. It will only spawn near law related buildings.
